The small company was founded in 1982 by Roger and Rita Nelson as an outlet for their artistic endeavors. As Nelson Artworks, the home based company produced decorative products and exhibited merchandise at local street festivals. In an ever growing and competitive market; they were always after new ideas. Possessing an interest in cooking, one concept was to create flavored vinegar so beautiful it would fill a niche for good food while also being an elegant decorator item. The idea was a good one. Living in the fertile Sacramento Valley, a hub of California agriculture, they had at their disposal a myriad of fresh ingredients. Through the clarity of fine bottling the vinegar glowed with the goodness contained within – The Gourmet’s Secret label was established.

The presentation of The Gourmet’s Secret products is so attractive they are in demand not only for their flavor, but also as decorator pieces.
